Entering our 35th year (woohoo!) Laugh & Learn Preschool is a child centered, family based preschool with an emphasis on social and emotional development. It is within this fun family environment that young children acquire a solid sense of security, positive self-esteem, social competencies and a life long enthusiasm for learning.
Laugh & Learn Preschool has a developmentally appropriate learning environment that is designed for each child to demonstrate success at their own level and pacing. The curriculum has been carefully designed and is ever changing to help young children grow physically, emotionally, socially, creatively, and cognitively. Using the standards set by the National Association of Young Children and the Maine Early Learning Guidelines. Young children obtain the skills they need by hands on learning- there is no rote drilling or tedious worksheets. Laugh & Learn Preschool understands the importance of nature and outside adventures. We utilize several acres of trails, hills, streams, boulders, ponds, grass and mud in our outdoor classroom.
The preschool program is available five days a week. You can choose a two day program; Monday & Wednesday, or Tuesday & Thursday, and/or add Friday to either option for a three day week program, or come all five days. Preschool begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m. The preschool program consists of breakfast, free choice, morning meeting, exercise, story time, poetry, songs, flag, letter of the week, various centers, or group/individual projects, free choice, lunch, brushing of teeth, and playing outside. Breakfast, lunch and a snack are included in the tuition price of $23.00 a day. Laugh & Learn offers extended care between the hours of 7:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. for $5.00 per hour.
