"What a heartwarming 7 years-and-counting it has been at Laugh & Learn. All 4 of my kids (up to age 11) still look forward to summers with you. The skills you have taught them from their Pre-K years have been their foundation into "big school". You taught them self-responsibility by putting on their own hats, coats, shoes (what parent doesn't appreciate that!). You taught them patience and respect as they waited for everyone to be served before enjoying lunch, the importance of exercise, taught them the importance of being kind and understanding- that everyone has feelings, worked around food allergies, gave them skills to help deal with conflict amongst peers, provided opportunity to make valentines, sing songs and do a fashion show for those in assisted living while also teaching the importance of sensitivity toward the aging, taught them to write their name, express themselves creatively (without judgment) and made learning the ABC's fun and engaging. You home has become a happy 2nd home for them while at Pre-K or Summer Camp.
I had a child with severe shyness and anxiety about new situations, 2 children with severe food allergies, a child with a Processing and Speech Delay, and a child that just didn't want to potty train. You have worked with us and provided encouragement throughout each process and turned each one into a positive outcome.
I, myself, have become a better parent by observing and taking note of your techniques helping children through their disagreements, behaviors, etc. Most notably, I've learned the importance and significance of preparing children for "what's next" and the affiliated expectations throughout the day- I use that skill every day and have saved myself much frustration!
I was told by a kindergarten teacher that they can tell which children came from Laugh & Learn because of their social, self-responsibility and early reading skills. Kudos to you! Thank You for opening up your home, your entire family and your life to us. You will always have a special place in our hearts!

"My son attended Laugh & Learn Preschool last year and he absolutely adored Miss Kimmie. When we drive past the school he always wants to stop by and play. Alex learned so much about respecting, sharing and learning to play well among his peers. When he went to the Wells school system his teacher was so impressed with his ability to show compassion in the class and to be a very good listener and share his thoughts and feelings. My son left Laugh & Learn with more confidence and become more willing to try new things. I would definitely recommend Laugh & Learn to everyone." Heather Field
"Dear Kim, Thank you for showing us all it is possible to achieve great things, and manage it all. The many young minds that have passed through your very capable hands are a prime example of that. Thank you for teaching and fostering tolerance, integrity, acceptance, patience, and generosity to our precious children. Those critical skills are NEVER learned in a book. I also want to appreciate how much you have allowed us, the parents, to grow in our own lives. Some of us have continued our education, better managed our own small businesses, or jump started new ones. You allowed us to volunteer at local worthwhile organizations or be at "the big school" for our other children. You also gifted us by allowing us to spend more time with the others that may still be at home. Some of us have special needs children, parents, or significant others that may need additional care of time. Yet most importantly, you have helped us find the time to care for ourselves which is always the most difficult to do. Thank you for that. Lastly, I just wanted to say that "It truly does take a village" and I am honored and proud to be dwelling in yours. Warmest regards, Katy Gove Littlefield Littlefield Concrete Floors L.L.C.
Dear Kim, I am honored to have the opportunity to write about our time at Laugh & Learn Preschool. My son, Cameron, started preschool at a different school his first year. He has apraxia of speech, and at the time had limited vocabulary. It took him months to begin to run around with the kids outside, and he never engaged in play indoors or spoke with other kids because he was afraid they wouldn't understand him. It was painful for me to watch. When I decided to change and come to Laugh & Learn, I didn't know how the change would affect him. Within weeks he was playing both indoors and outdoors with the other children and talking to them. I believe it was your loving, caring, welcoming environment that made him comfortable enough to not even think about his speech and just enjoy being a kid. You made education fun for your students. They often didn't even know they were learning. I'll never forget the day we were driving by your house and Cameron said, "I wish I could still go to Miss Kimmie's, her school is more fun than recess!" Along with educating them, you taught them life skills. I know the elementary school appreciated the children coming from your school, because they already knew how to put on all their own snow gear! You are a gift to every child that has the opportunity to learn with you. You have the ability to see the best in every child and develop those qualities. I'll never forget what you did for Cameron, which in return was a gift to me. Thank you, Maureen Mahoney
